not compatible with Chromebook

This product was advertised as plug and play. Not in the case of a Chromebook. It takes extensive steps to get it working and a lot of time to plug it in. So many times I've aborted the procedure after I was about halfway through. So I can't say if it has the ability to work with a Chromebook. Bad experience in my opinion. If you are expecting something light, do not take this product.

It works as it should.

I needed a DVD/CD player for my new laptop because it didn't have one. I bought it, plugged it into the USB port and everything worked right away. no problems so far.

This won't play DVD on Chromebook.

Looks like you could be able to watch a movie on your Chromebook by purchasing this item. Not true. You can't buy anything that works this way. Chromebook isn't set up that way. Don't be fooled like me. This ad is misleading.

Interesting facts about computer components

This does not work with a Chromebook, I repeat, this does not work with a Chromebook. It was a waste of time ordering this product and waiting for it. I wrote to the seller and told them to stop advertising it as Chromebook compatible.
