The device was delivered in a non-working condition. It turned on but didn't even try to read the CD. Very disappointed with the quality control. I returned for a refund.

Works as advertised. It records images very slowly and is generally not as sharp as my old LaCie Light Scribe. I like that there is a switch. That wasn't the case with my old LaCie Light Riber, and I think that was part of the reason for its demise. *UPDATE* Over time I am less and less satisfied with this device. The images it burns are too dark.

I bought this burner for my Lightscribe drive and I love it! I used to have a laptop with Lightscribe but it died and my new laptop didn't have that option which I missed. In my experience, this is a very attractive piece of junk that doesn't work with any of the Windows operating systems I've tried, including XP, Vista, and 7. What I've Learned From this error, one learns, that reviews on Revain.com cannot be relied upon alone. If I looked broader I wouldn't waste my money and time. Exactly what I wanted. Burns an image to DVD with very good contrast when burning normally. You can shoot with more contrast, but it's not necessary. The final product looks very professional.

March 22 ordered an external DVD recorder I/O Magic. received on 2.4. Unpacked, connected to USB and socket. My computer recognized it immediately. Tested with all installed software ie.
