DVD REC almost anywhere you need it.

As a USB connector. One must be aware of the sensitivity of this item. The writing speed was excellent. I Field One could work fast. In the office because the notebook desktop is a thing of the past Great hard copy backup.

This worked great for my purposes

This worked great for my purposes. I recently bought a MacBook Air to replace my MacBook Pro. I needed a USB stick to transfer songs to my MacBook Air. It was a bit noisy and not very fast, but it worked very well! I would buy from this company again.

Good external DVD drive

My laptop has a Blu-ray DVD player that doesn't allow me to overwrite region codes with special software so I can play foreign DVDs. The combination of this external DVD drive and the VLC software (free) now allows me to play my region 2 DVDs. Works on my USB 2.0 port. And of course the price is good. Very happy.

Advantages: plug and play, price is not bad, and. It works out. Cons: The cable is not detachable. I would recommend using it with a very portable laptop where cable length is not a major concern. I'm not too concerned about using it with my desktop due to the layout of my case where the DVD driver is usually on top of the case. I can imagine it's going to be very frustrating if your case's USB port isn't on top.
