Blocks Space for Mouse Pad

If you are left-handed or your USB ports are not on the left side of your computer, this item is useless. Due to the 5 inch cable, this drive needs to be placed where the mouse pad is. I returned it on credit.

Perfect fit for my MacBook!

It was very necessary to fill out the disc in MP3 format. I tried it on a windows laptop with a built in drive but it took all night because the system was awful to use. Instead of fighting this headache, I bought this external drive for my MacBook Pro. Connected to Mac and it worked! No software or anything to worry about, very easy to use and it saved my project!

Not registered in Mac OS (tested two laptops)

Tried to use it with two Macbooks (old and new). Registered on none, with several types of discs. The device shows up as a USB drive in System Profiler (dvdram gsa-t20n), but it doesn't register on the desktop, in Finder, or in Disk Utilities. The logs don't shed much light on the issue, but maybe some authentication issues? The device spins up, hums loudly for a while, and then ejects after about a minute. Will be returned.

Doesn't read DVDs

The drive is recognized by Windows, but not correctly. Doesn't appear in Explorer. My burning software recognizes it but won't read DVDs. No blank DVDs, no film DVDs. It could be a driver issue, although the seller says no driver is needed. I tried the second driver but the same problem. "Insert DVD" is the best I can get. What really annoys me is that they seem to list the product multiple times on Revain. Apparently 10% of people have the same problem as me.

Exceptional CD/DVD player/recorder

I've written over 4,000 reviews but a few of them shocked even me out of their stupidity at the Darwin Award level. Are you giving the device 1 star because you are left-handed? WOW, and if you get a brand new device and it doesn't play anything, you and your hardware could be the problem.
