Review on π Fast USB Type-C 3.0 External DVD Drive Compatible with Windows XP/7/10 - Dual Port CD DVD Rewriter Burner for Laptop and Desktop by Bret Wong
Not registered in Mac OS (tested two laptops)
Tried to use it with two Macbooks (old and new). Registered on none, with several types of discs. The device shows up as a USB drive in System Profiler (dvdram gsa-t20n), but it doesn't register on the desktop, in Finder, or in Disk Utilities. The logs don't shed much light on the issue, but maybe some authentication issues? The device spins up, hums loudly for a while, and then ejects after about a minute. Will be returned.
