I thought this may be an oversized water bottle. It’s ridiculously shown out of proportion in this photo. They must have had a very tiny girl to take this one.It’s about the size of a traditional (older) water bottle, and not too crazy about the ridges. It’s not bad, just not what I had anticipated.

Growing up in cold, damp England in the 1940's and 50's a hot water bottle was an absolute necessity, especially in a home that lacked central heating (or any kind of heat, for that matter, other than a coal fire in the living room). So far we have used it for tummy aches and just being cold in the winter. Adding boiling water will make it hotter than just hot tap water and stays hot a long time. When we are done with it, I let it drain upside down for a day or two before we put it away.

Happy. I liked that this product has a handle to hold while pouring hot water into it. I like that the bottle is made of a good quality thick rubber. I like the soft material cover. I like the size, it covers a large area of body. It makes me feel warmer. I've used it on my abdomen after a big meal. Unlike other reviewers, I find that the rubber smell is not bothersome. Nice product!

Very warm, stays warm for at least 4 hours when using hot water from tap. Thick sturdy construction. Cap screws in tight and stays tight. No leaks! Definitely worth the few extra bucks compared to some of the other products on here. 10/10 would recommend. Loved it so much I got my wife one too

When I received the hot water bottle it smelled so horrible, that I left it on my back porch to air out. I haven't been able to use yet and I don't know if I will ever be able to use it. This heating pad has been a lifesaver and does what it’s supposed to but as some other reviewers have noted, the smell just does not quit. If I sleep with the pad on my belly, I can taste the hot manufactured rubber/plastic scent well into the next afternoon. I can’t use it anymore, and would give it fewer stars for that alone but maybe I got a dud. And I do love the warmth when I’m achy or cramping. I use the hot water bottle at night on the small of my back when I’m feeling achy. It is much more comfortable than a heating pad

We are happy with the product. It stays hot for many hours and the cap fits securely so no worries about leaks. This works better than electric hot water bottles. The sides were stuck together at the beginning but I followed the suggestions from other customers and the problem was easily solved. I use water a few minutes off the boil and wrap the bottle in a tea towel. The handle is convenient when filling.
