Works in Dell Inspiron 3650

This also works in Dell Inspiron 3650 I had an HP 550w PSU, HP GTX1060 and an old i5 Dell Inspiron 3650 and wanted to build a decent gaming rig for my kid little one Modifications to an angle grinder in a Dell, I fitted a standard sized HP ATX power supply into the case which gave me the power connectors for a GTX1060 which connected to an HP 24 lug cable connector in the motherboard cables. Press the power button and it worked. This PC will now play most modern mid-range games at over 80fps at

Real danger, WRONG WIRING!

This connector is a REAL HAZARD! After I connected my power supply to the motherboard via the eyeboot connector, the computer was dead. I checked the voltage on each pin of the 20-pin side of the power supply and they were all correct, so I opened up the middle connector box and installed found that the two wires were swapped (purple and black, see pics) so the motherboard got +12 B to the GND pin and vice versa! From my pictures it is easy to see that black is the usual color for GND and…

Wrong pinout, partially working

2 star rating just because the Revain return process is so nice. My power supply didn't work! This worked partially, but there were some very strange issues including not being able to turn off the PC when shutting down. One of the pins of the 24-pin ATX connector has been swapped. I'm glad I didn't (as far as I know) damage my motherboard with this faulty adapter. I bought one from goonumstore on ebay and it worked right out of the box. Ayagroup was their manufacturer. See the image for…

Great cable for the price.

I have a Dell T30 computer and am using this cable because I bought a 600w EVGA PSU. This power supply has a 24-pin cable. However, my computer's Dell motherboard has an 8-pin connector. This is a great adapter cable. After installation everything worked fine. I was a little paranoid at first using this cable as I read some reviews saying the cable was damaged and someone's motherboard burned out. You should be fine as long as your cable is in good condition and you ground yourself when…

Roasted my Motherboard

Installed in my Dell Optiplex 3020 with known good PSU hoping I could add a GPU. Looking at other reviews, I made sure to check the wiring of all components before installing. Everything checked, no wrong pins or misplaced wires so I went ahead and installed it. (Error) As soon as I turned on the PSU (even before I touched the power button), the fans sped up to full speed and the power light blinked with the error code "Motherboard 2.3, memory or processor error". So now my Optiplex is…

The wires don't cross. A++

I read other reviews and saw that some of the wires were crossed. I still took a chance and ordered these, but before blindly plugging them in, I first checked under the screen to make sure the wires were crossed. Check the black and purple wires on one side, if they are connected on the other side, DO NOT connect them! Luckily mine wasn't broken and I'm safe, my computer didn't explode and I didn't have to spend money to buy another mobile device. If the seller sells you a broken adapter, you…
