Broken tool, poor grip

Used for one-piece shower faucet handle. The handle is less than 10 years old and is stuck. The tool would not snag the handle during use and eventually the tip broke off in the screw slot.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Guard

When you need it, you need it - and it really works.

This tool is of limited use, but if you need it I can't think of a better one. I wasn't aware of these tools, but I saw them in a YouTube video and knew right away that it would work. I've tried a few things, but this tool does exactly what it promises. If you need it, get it.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • I'll add later

Worked great and now I have it for future repairs

Penetrating oil is best (Prolong SPL100 is really good) for a few days as my hot side came off easily with it. I really need the cold side. I held the handles close to the handle while the other turned the screw. Without this tool it would be almost impossible to remove even penetrating oil!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • boring packaging

Bend the ends of the pliers for a better grip.

It didn't work. not finished yet. The jaws or pliers are at a 90 degree angle to the base of the faucet handle so don't hold it by constantly slipping off until I bend them inwards with a wrench like a fishhook so they get a better fly on the base. But it still didn't work; The handle still won't come off. I applied WD-40. nope Then I had a double idea; First, I had yet to hire a plumber to fix the leak on my tub spout when I couldn't access the valve stem covered by that seemingly welded…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Compatible
