I just built my first PC and after everything was assembled I realized I needed something to control all the fans I had installed, in Form of connectors for fans on the motherboard. was limited. I finally gave this a try and it worked on my first try - I was able to set up profiles for my fans so they wouldn't be at full blast all the time, and it quieted my computer down a bit (nothing is more annoying than a mosquito buzzing on all the time full fan power).

So this fan hub is useful. But one thing I didn't like is that when I tried to connect it to the case fan, it seemed to ignore the 4-pin connector. I had to put it in the CPU fan header, which is a bunch of crap. My motherboard was bought in December and has no problems. Failed to use. After installing this and plugging in a standard case fan and then a new fan that I bought, I got system error 90b on reboot. By elimination I traced it back to this splinter. Also note that the new fan ran at full (loud) speed on startup when connected to the splitter. On the other hand, when I connect a new fan directly to the motherboard, it runs slower and much quieter at startup without any system error. So I had to deactivate this product and cannot use it.

Update - ordered another one. That works fine. I would say the 3M foam adhesive backing is very thick. It was fine for the build I used it on, but many users may have trouble placing it on the back of their case. I would also like to say that you should also offer a longer version for sale. Works as needed but only delivers 4 due to 2 minor things. Firstly I would say the length is good and secondly the glue isn't that good.
