Faria 32805 Euro 7000 Tachometer Review

Trying to replace the OEM tach on my 2005 Merc Optimax 175 with alternator tach output. The 20 ampere ignition fuse on the engine blew immediately. The literature says it will work out the generator tachometer signal. Don't use this speedometer if you plan on boating this weekend.

Bought this tachometer new installed on a 1984 Boston whaling ship. The touch works fine up to refs over 4200. Then it will reset. When I contacted Faria I returned the touch on Monday, they tested it, they found nothing wrong but still they gave me a new touch. The next Thursday I got a new touch. Haven't tried the boat yet, but regardless of how the tachometer works, all I can say is the prompt service. I will follow the work of the new wheelbarrow. I think it's the engine.

Purchased to replace a tachometer that I burned out by running the outboard without a battery. The motor doesn't have a voltage regulator, so the voltage rose and ruined the tachometer. This is an exact replacement for the one I burned. So be careful as over voltage will ruin this speedometer. Paid a local Evinrude dealer to install a wheelbarrow. I was told the wheelbarrow gauge did not match the laptop that was plugged into my 90hp E-Tec Evinrude. Contacted Faria, they sent me speedometer calibration instructions and showed me where to find the calibration adjustment screw. Taken to Evinrude dealer per Faria's instructions, paid again. When I took the boat they showed me that where the instructions said there was no adjusting screw. Back to Faria this time, they said the adjustment
