A real time saver. for colanders and food strainers

We bought this product to replace one we have had for several years. We use it to make our tomato sauce. It removes the seeds and produces a thick liquid that we use to brew canned sauce. I still peel tomatoes, but removing the seeds is a plus. There's nothing like a jar of homemade tomato sauce. Canning is work, but it's worth it because I know exactly what's in the jar. We have 2 of these presses in case one breaks while canning. I think it works with other fruits and veggies, but I've onlyโ€ฆ

Exactly what I was looking for.

I got this product to completely recreate my homemade tomato sauce. It's really easy to work with. The only downside is that it's not as easy to clean as it could be. It also creates a bit of chaos, or at least mine does. Tomato juice flowed through the handle with every twist. Another small issue I had was the suction part on the bottom. This works well, but you'll have to spend a little time aligning it to the base first to get the perfect deal. For some reason there was a small gap betweenโ€ฆ

Finally! A plastic tomato press that works!

Finally! I've been looking for this car for a long time. I have used metal before and they are too expensive to buy back. I was hesitant to buy plastic but it worked great! The only drawback was the assembly instructions. I was going through the questions about this product and someone told me how to assemble it better than the instructions that came with the product. But when it's together, it works great. I made a bushel of tomatoes with ease. Someone said to put the puck in the grip so itโ€ฆ

Very bad design, very bad execution.

I don't know what product got the rave reviews but it certainly wasn't the product I got. There was a terrible leak from the pen. The suction cup didn't stick to my countertop. (This is a standard Formica surface in good condition.) When I ran the cooked tomatoes through the machine, a lot of the pulp came out of the drain. The leak caused such a mess and when I looked at the bottom of the bunker it was clear that the moving parts didn't mesh properly to do the job they were designed to do. Iโ€ฆ

makes it easy to process tomatoes

I love this hand mill! The handle is leaking, but my husband put another o-ring on it, slightly larger, and that stopped the leak. It's plastic and feels a bit flimsy, but it actually works surprisingly well. I had no problem with the suction cup sticking to the stand. Peeling can be a little tricky, but not enough to outweigh the time saved processing tomatoes. I was able to do in minutes what used to take literally hours! I ran the pulp through the grinder a few times to extract as much sauce

What a great tool! good for kitchen utensils and gadgets

This handy processing tool was recommended to me by a group of farmers I followed on YouTube and it didn't disappoint! I froze all my tomatoes because I didn't have time to process them while everything else in my garden was ripening, and sometimes you can only get one or two ready at a time. That way I could take them out in February, thaw them in buckets, drain the water, put them through a tomato press, cook them down and get the best sauce! I recommend going through it a few times to get as

It's not worth it! Very disappointed!

FREE! I can only give this product one star. #1 - Funnel section and base do not match bottom section as shown and instructed. I had to grind the grooves to make it slide on the rails. No problem, like I said, if I put it back together I still don't take it apart again. . . #2 โ€“ Once I've harvested it, I place a scoop (8 ounces) full of chilled, COOKED tomatoes in the bin. It worked for a minute. Juice and pulp came out of one spout, and seeds and skins came out of the other. Then it got stuck!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
