Great for measuring circles

I have to say I've found a few circle measuring applications where a regular tape measure wouldn't work. The tape is thick, strong and clearly spelled out, which is very convenient. Measurements are in inches, quarters, eighths and sixteenths. In addition to the measurements on the page, there is a writing pad and sharpener (not for carpenter's pencils). Overall I would recommend this to another person who needs to measure odd round/curved shapes.

Pros
  • FastCap ProCarpenter FlatBack measures curves and flat plates with precision and ease

The apartment is where it is!

The outside of this tape measure isn't fancy, but it's durable. It's what's inside that matters. The tape is semi-gloss and very legible, VERY! The flat metal band and strong latch make this desirable and precise. Other concave tape measures differ from this type, so it's best to have both types on hand when a long distance calls for some stiffness. However, when this flat band finds use, it becomes a wake-up call for any professional, e.g. B. "When haven't I had any of these?" This makes this…

Pros
  • Can be written on the blade with a pencil and erased with a finger
Cons
  • Expensive

Good Idea - Bad Execution

I like the idea of this band. And as advertised, it's flexible, so you can easily measure objects with curves. The tape itself is also one of the easiest to read I've ever had. But the one I received differed from 1/16 to 1/8 inch. I noticed this immediately when measuring a sheet of plywood, the dimensions of which I knew, and confirmed this with an electronic caliper and another tape measure, the accuracy of which I checked. And you can see that the band is not fully pressed against the stop.

Pros
  • Available in standard straight blade and metric/standard blade
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
