I have had this grater for over 6 months now as I always buy large blocks of cheese from Costco. It does the job, but it's tricky because the base won't snap onto the counter, so some maneuvering is needed to keep rubbed things from spilling all over the place. Update. I like it, but my concerns about fragile connectors turned out to be an issue. I heard the plastic break as I grated the cheddar cheese.
