A simple solution to a complex problem that has been plaguing me for weeks

I had a longstanding annoying problem where my NVIDIA graphics card's output defaulted to stereo - sometimes - after going through an OREI HDMI splitter where one of the targets was a Yamaha 5.1 amp home theater, but the other was a simple desktop monitor with only stereo output. This little box did a great job of telling NVIDIA to relax and just stream 5.1 consistently - and now I'm getting beautiful 5.1 through my Yamaha.
