Based on my observations it's been working wonderfully for both my fish and plants. The compact size is a plus, and it's easy to install and use. The only downside is that it may not be powerful enough for larger setups, so keep that in mind when deciding. I have never seen an aquarium airline with fittings this size on these diffusers. I probably should have read the size more carefully. I was able to find an air pump hose to try them on and it wasn't great. The bubbles that came out were large and few in number. Not small and tiny like other air stones I've used. I have larger ones in my pond from another manufacturer that have a standard size connector and produce a sea of tiny air bubbles to properly aerate the water.
