Poor bearing design on exercise bikes

This impeller has a major design flaw as the bearing washer pinches both the inner and outer races of the bearing causing friction in the impeller when the nut is tightened. This causes the washing machine to wear out a lot. Worse, because of this, you can't tighten the nut enough for the nylon lock to work, so it keeps loosening and the wheel falls off. This can be dangerous for a small animal. One day he pinched our chins under him. Until the stock design is considered, I wouldn't recommendโ€ฆ

A bit pricey but worth it for our little princess!

We bought a cheaper cage wheel for our chinchilla and I've never seen her use it. Soon there were pieces of plastic everywhere and it wouldn't even spin. Enter THIS PRODUCT. Although it's a bit pricey, it's BEAUTIFUL! It's thick, durable, and attaches securely to our cage with the included hardware. It's also fairly quiet, which is a must if you have a nocturnal animal. With this impeller, the proof is in the pudding. Our Daisy uses this thing ALL THE TIME. And considering the average lifespanโ€ฆ

Maybe I have a defect?

Just want to say the seller was HAPPY this death trap didn't hurt or kill my chinchilla. I followed the instructions exactly when unpacking, but it's not that much. After a day or two I come home from work and the chin comes loose from the part that is screwed between the wires of the cage. This thing could have fallen on him! The seller was lucky not to have to pay medical/funeral expenses. So I found that whoever assembled this product never fully tightened the nut. That's why it fell apartโ€ฆ

My chinchilla loves it.

This is a really good balance bike and my furry baby loves it. It took her maybe 10 minutes before she lit it and the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because for $100 it could have been better. It's pretty heavy, so I bought a four-foot-long piece of 1/8-inch aluminum and eight 1/2-inch Lowes self-tapping screws, all for about $12. Mounting the wheel on an aluminum bracket instead of hanging it on the cage rail makes it very quiet, durable and helps the wheel and cage last longer as they don't

Trust me - buy it! worth your money!

I read a lot of great reviews on this product and was happy to adapt it for my 8 month old chinchilla. I was very disappointed at first when I got the steering wheel and was able to set it up. The center bolt of the wheel kept loosening and the wheel fell out of the cage no matter how hard I tightened it. I contacted the company directly. They responded within an hour with an apology and immediately sent me a new bike with no additional cost or hassle on my part. They were nice andโ€ฆ
