This case is of high quality and feels durable. I used it to upgrade to a Samsung 970 EVO SSD and it worked great. I used the Samsung data transfer app and got it done in less than 20 minutes at 152MB/s. Replaced drive and laptop boot faster than before.

I bought this pack to help test and format an M.2 drive. For that he did a great job. Then yesterday I bought another M.2 to use as a very fast 1TB USB drive. Drops out approximately every 30 minutes of use. My guess is that there is no contact inside that could act as a heatsink and the M.2 drive could overheat and shut down. Needless to say, it doesn't perform very well overall. Change it and add a heatsink, it can work properly

Very easy to use, metal body, very fast. I used it to upgrade a new ASUS laptop from a 256GB NVME M.2 to a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVME M.2 SSD. Case works perfectly. I tried using CloneZilla to clone the drive but the new SSD wouldn't boot (files were fine). I used Samsung Data Migration Toll instead and it copied a 256GB drive to a new drive (only 48GB) in less than 3 minutes and booted to a 1TB SSD with no issues.

I had a good use case for this product. I bought a pre-built PC and the power supply failed during the warranty period. I decided to return the computer instead of replacing the power supply and I didn't want to return it with my personal data on the m2 nvme drive and since my other one couldn't read from the m2 I had to find another solution. I bought this because the first (different brand) I bought took forever to get here. Another unit took over 30 days to finally show up. I still haven't used it. This block is said to be tool-less. The M.2 mounting hole has a rubber tip that can be pierced. Use a jeweler's screwdriver or chain-tipped pliers to push the rubber tip through the hole. I put it in my shirt pocket with the USB cable attached. I just hide the USB cable behind the handle so it doesn't get caught.

I've had one for a few months now. Everything is going well so far. It tends to get hot if you leave it connected to your computer/laptop for more than an hour. Overall this is a good little adapter, very easy to use and delivers sequential read/write speeds of 1046MB/s and 1029MB/s (genuine Dell Hynix 1 installed) TB SSD) connects to the XPS 15 9500's Thunderbolt port. Used the product to clone the current smaller SSD to a larger one in a laptop. Then use the older one for another laptop or as a backup drive. The device worked fine, going through partitions and resizing, although Macrium Reflect didn't do the job perfectly, but that's another issue. The cloning wasn't lightning fast, but it's probably because of Macrium's free dosing to lure you into buying the premium version.
