Works pretty well for the most part

Works pretty well for the most part. I originally bought this thinking it would be screwed on top of the bin. Since it isn't, you really need to make sure it's as tight in there as possible or it's going to leak everywhere. Since it doesn't screw tight, it popped out a couple of times when I was holding my container (the large 65-ounce one) and spilled water all over it. This has happened 3 or 4 times already. The straw portion works very well and appears to be a quality product. My biggest…

Came broken. - Sports and outdoor accessories

When I opened the box, the thumb lever was broken. I was disappointed but thought it was no big deal and didn't want to wait for a replacement. In the beginning it was very difficult to get something out of the straw so I had to cut it and then everything was perfect. But the very next day I closed the cap on my bottle 50:50 and the point where the straw connects to the cap broke. (I have pictures but can't put them together for some reason) I didn't contact the company for a refund because I…

Different from the first one I bought but still a great product

This is a great product. There's nothing wrong with that, but I was disappointed because when I got my first bottle and cap a while ago, the mouthpiece was made of a thicker rubber material and felt softer. This mouthpiece is hard and plasticky as you would expect, but I preferred the softer rubber and purposely bought another to replace the one I lost because I liked it so much. Again, the product works great, cleans great etc. but it has definitely changed! I think maybe it's the same, except

Get a brand that matches the brand of your bottle

I have a bottle of 505 and have tried other brands of caps because they were cheaper. Well, they never worked properly. Water didn't flow out of the straw. Or it will make a lot of noise. It got to the point where it was like trying to drink an In n Out milkshake. Impossible. In the end I broke down and bought another top made in the Fifty Fifty style. If you have a specific brand of bottle, I would suggest buying that brand of stopper as well. Although the description says it fits this size…

The lid is NOT insulated!

I really wanted to like this. I prefer a straw when drinking and ordered one and a flip top for my 40oz bottle. I have two problems with this cover; First, the straws are too short, which isn't a huge issue, but it's a little annoying. However, the second problem I have is really frustrating. With this cap, the bottle doesn't hold the temperature as well as it would with a traditional screw-top or flip-top cap - both have some insulation to help maintain the temperature. This straw cover is…

Not impressed. Feels cheap, brittle and poor workmanship.

I bought this to fit my 40oz Fifty/Fifty bottle and was concerned the straw would not be long enough to reach the bottom. The good news is that the straw extends up to a 40 ounce bottle. The bad news is that the lid feels flimsy and cheap, like it might break at any moment. Also, the plastic surface around the straw has rough edges and catches my lip and tongue when I use the straw. Unfortunately I am very disappointed in them overall. Compared to a comparable version and a bottle of Yeti, this

Perfect for my vacuum flask! Highly recommended!

Excellent product. VERY glad I made this purchase. They have so many different brands of vacuum insulated water bottles it's crazy. But Fifty/Fifty bottles and accessories come at a great price, so it's a lot more profitable to buy them. Quality: This lid and straw combination is of excellent quality. This makes it very easy to grab a bottle and leave. Besides, the wider part for holding makes it easier to hold when hiking, walking, etc. The flip cover is the best part! Because it's so easy to…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

I got this because I liked the idea of just opening the spout and the handle makes it very easy to carry. The lid I received is not painted like the picture, with a grey/blue spout. mine is all black. I don't care that much about colors but thought I should mention it. But I can't give it a very good grade. It leaks two ways and the straw never fits. First leaks. When the cap is "tight" - that is, as tight as you would expect a normal cap to be - it leaks down the threads. This leads me to…

Great price and performance 50/50!

It's great that everyone is drinking more water, but come on, the Hydro Flask brand is ridiculously expensive. While this is not a water bottle review I wanted to mention that the 50/50 brand is an accurate endorsement of the overpriced Hydro Flask brand and is fantastic value. I have 40 ounces. bottle, and it's huge, I probably should have bought a smaller one, but it accompanies me every day. By the way, I saw on Reddit that the Hydro Flask guy's wife is running a 50/50 business after their…
