Review on FIFTY Wide Mouth Straw Cap by Jared Tovar

It's great that everyone is drinking more water, but come on, the Hydro Flask brand is ridiculously expensive. While this is not a water bottle review I wanted to mention that the 50/50 brand is an accurate endorsement of the overpriced Hydro Flask brand and is fantastic value. I have 40 ounces. bottle, and it's huge, I probably should have bought a smaller one, but it accompanies me every day. By the way, I saw on Reddit that the Hydro Flask guy's wife is running a 50/50 business after their divorce. Therefore the name. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but if it is, then it's brilliant! The cap that comes with the bottle I bought is useless to me. I bought this to drink more water so it was great to find a lid specifically for drinking with a flip up spout from the same company as my water bottle. You can't beat the price and buying it was a "stupid easy" decision. The included straws were too long to fit my massive bottle and that was probably intentional. I attached the straw to the lid and went through several adjustments before I was happy with the length of the straw. I used scissors to cut off the end and I angled the cut so that when it was pressed against the bottom of the bottle the last drops of water would go into the straw. The lid has an odd fit. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I have to put some pressure on the cap as I screw it onto the bottle to make sure I've hooked the threads. Once he's busy, he fits in very well. I screw it on until I hear a squeak, indicating the silicone seal on the water bottle has caught. It never leaks. I can throw it in my car and never have to worry about the bottle spilling. Overall this is a great solution and the best value for money compared to any other Hydro Flask. I would also highly recommend their bottles!
