🏊 Swim in Spandex Review

This is definitely the best swim cap I've ever used in terms of comfort, fit and durability. I've been using this 5 days a week for 1-2 hour swims for half a year and I hardly notice it's on my head after a few minutes. No problem.

My son is on the school swim team and he loves this swim cap. He stays where he is and doesn't feel like his hair is being pulled. In fact, several of his friends ordered the same hat after he showed them his hat. Now the team is trying to figure out if they can get more caps with the school's logo on them, as nobody wants to wear the regular latex swim caps they used to have.

I gave this cover 2 stars because it doesn't protect against water. I keep it to wear before bed as a nightcap or just to keep my hair out of the way. I tried this cap in the sink before putting it in the pool and it didn't work. I only use a small amount of water and my hand was in and my hand was saturated. The hat is very comfortable and easy to put on my curls. NOT FOR WATER!

My 10 year old daughter has very fair skin and one of the hardest places to avoid sunburn is her scalp. However, she is sensitive to tight clothing and cannot tolerate any of the several swim caps we tried. But she loved this one! She says it's like a bathing suit for her head: tight enough to stay in, but very stretchy that doesn't press into her forehead or snag her hair at the back of her head. In addition, it is not waterproof, but it makes the hair easier to comb afterwards.

I bought this spandex swim cap because I wanted something with stretch. The lids I found at the local store were too tight. The seller measured my head and told me it was 22.5 inches or very tall and told me to order something online. I prefer lycra/spandex hats because they are easy to put on and take off. It is made of the same material as your swimsuit. This hat fits comfortably on my rather large head. This cap keeps my hair out of my face while swimming and keeps my goggle/mask rubber from pulling on my hair. I've had it for about a year, it's a blue lovely color - a good substitute for black or dark blue. I love how this fits my head, as far as I can tell it hasn't faded and has kept its shape or elasticity to fit properly. This hat won't keep your hair dry, but that's not why I'm wearing it. I have tried several spandex swim caps over the years and this is the best I have ever used. All seams are well stitched and the fabric feels thicker and stretchier than some other swim brands I'm aware of. Please note that this is very different from most traditional swimming caps which are made from a combination of latex and/or rubber (and are therefore fully waterproof).
