Soft, washable swim diaper

I waffled on this purchase for several seasons but I wish I had used this swim diaper from the start. It fits my toddler true to size. Swim diapers are not intended to absorb wetness like a regular diaper. These are only to keep poop out of the pool. My kid hasn't had an accident while swimming but I feel confident that this diaper would keep it contained. It has held up through several trips through the washing machine (I've been hang-drying it). I just ordered another diaper because I love…

Pros
  • Baby Girls
Cons
  • The sizing may not fit all babies and toddlers

Unacceptably small!

I needed a second swim diaper for my 18 month old son who is on the small side. At 31" and 22 lbs he would clearly fall into the low end of size L. When the diaper arrived, the colors and pattern were cute but when I took it out of the package and held it up it looked like it was made for a 6 month old. Despite knowing that it wouldn't fit, when I tried to pull it up his legs, the diaper wouldn't go past his mid thighs because the waist didn't stretch further. I've been using iPlay's…

Pros
  • ‎Contents
Cons
  • May leak if not properly fitted

Based on a lot of reviews stating these ran small I went up a size and bought 4t for my 31lb almost 3 year old who is in between size 5 and 6 diapers. He is quite tall for his age. They are actually a bit big on him and 3t probably would have fit perfect but these should continue to fit throughout the winter if we still need to use them. So I would say if your child is in size 5 diapers as around 30lb the 3t size would fit just fine.

Pros
  • ‎7.5 x 5 x 1 inches
Cons
  • Can be more expensive than disposable swim diapers

Definitely small on my review.

My son is 2 years old, tall, about 33 lbs, wears a size 5 diaper, and wears 3T. His swim classes require disposable swim diapers plus a non-disposable swim diaper on top for kids who are not fully potty trained. Some reviews said these ran small and some said true to size so I ordered a 4T to be on the safe side.I also have a white i play swim diaper that I bought in 24 MONTHS because that was the largest size in store. My son squeezed into it for the first lesson but the leg holes were really…

Pros
  • Doesn't swell up like disposable swim diapers
Cons
  • May not provide the same level of protection for pool water as disposable swim diapers

Great so far! in my review

This swim diaper is very cute! Much cuter than in the picture.I ordered a large for my 8 month old (she wears 12 -18 month clothing) and the fit is perfect. Nice and fitted but not tight on her chunky legs.We have used it a few times but have not had a chance to test its "holding in" ability. The elastic along the legs seems like it will do the trick though. It does not absorb pee, unlike the iPlay swim diaper. This is actually better though because it dries quickly. where the iPlay takes two…

Pros
  • Swim Diapers
Cons
  • Only comes in a limited number of colors and designs

Unlike lots of other swim diapers, by the time you have a disposable swim diaper, reusable swim diaper, then bathing suit (all required by our pool), your child has a bubble butt with layers sticking out. Not true with this one. It is slimmer and looks better for girl bikini bottoms. Probably not as much of a concern for boys.Order a size or two up from normal for a normal sized kid. The fit will be snug, probably not for chubby babies or toddlers. This is our second set of finis swim diapers…

Pros
  • Cost-effective in the long run as it can be reused multiple times
Cons
  • May not provide as much freedom of movement as disposable swim diapers

Great if your pretty confident your kid won't poop

My son poops on a pretty reliable schedule. So I hated wasting money on disposable diapers. This diaper works great because he rarely poops wearing his bathing suit, so I just wash it with his bath suit- nothing extra to do. But, because they are pull ups, when he does poop, it's gross to pull down and clean up. A swim diaper that opens like a real diaper is easier if they poop often.

Pros
  • ‎Pvc,Polyester
Cons
  • Can take longer to dry than disposable swim diapers
