Great value for money, app management would be a great add-on sale!

I got this light over a 36 gallon bowfront corner and it's bright enough for low tech rigs. The Alternantera maintains a nice red tint in this light, so it's probably "moderate" for this tank. I like the programming aspect, but there are a few key caveats that prevent this review from earning 5 stars, even at this price point. First, as many other reviews point out, the remote control is clunky and unintuitive to use. Check out some YouTube videos and add the instructions! Second, because…

  • An absolute legend

Knockout snot out of competition

I tried 3 other lights before deciding on this one. From the cheap $30 you see everywhere to the $50 DA Ray Works current $100+ US and this Finnex is twice as bright as the Currentusa and the color is really nice. The LEDs match very well (smooth beam pattern where it doesn't look like individual LEDs). I like that the hue changes with the remote control. Really allows you to customize the color or your tank. I appreciate the 24/7 mode if you set it up and forget it. No BS, best light I've used

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

Read this or lose your sleep - really

The lighting is great - all my plants are thriving. BUT it took me 3 LOST nights to figure out the major downside - it starts "jumping" to the next take a full 3 hours BEFORE. In other words, mine was set to turn off, dim at 3am and turn on at 6am. What actually happens is that the light comes on at 3am and gradually gets brighter until 6am. Pretty brutal if, like me, you have this tank in your bedroom. So if you want to sleep before 6 a.m., don't turn the lights on until 9 a.m. and so on. I…

Lighting intervals 24 hours a day 7 days a week not working after 5 months

Advantages: The lamp is very easy to place on a rimmed aquarium. in) - Has no problem lighting a 75 gallon aquarium planted medium/heavy with a mix of artificial foliage plants, shelters and live plants. The tank is 48 inches long, 18 inches wide and 21 inches high - Plants average 42 inches long and 12 inches wide and get almost direct light - Decent value for money Cons - I'm annoyed that this light (48-inch version) does not work enough light to cover the entire 48"L / 18"W, stops briefly…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Aquarium lights are worth every penny

I bought a 24" light to try in my 20g aquarium and now I will definitely be getting a pair of 48" lights for my Buy 150 g paludarium. This light is fantastic. I don't understand why there are so many reviews about how difficult it is to set up, mine comes with a quick start guide that got me through my near perfect 24 hour schedule in 10 minutes. I wasn't interested in the standard program, so I made my own. 6:00 10% blue/green, 9:00/12:00/15:00/18:00 full bright white/red, 21:00 10%…

Another amazing headlight from Finnex

I have been a big fan of Finnex for a number of years and although I still compare other lights when preparing new tanks I still choose Finnex for the overall quality and the price. I was surprised at how thin this light was compared to other similar Finnex models and wasn't sure if it would cover front to back for a 22 gallon tank. It's a pretty simple setup and I love that the old Planted+ remotes work. with all Planted+ lights. I don't need 3 remote controls for each light as I currently run

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some little things

Highest PAR and Watts with the smoothest ramp

Ok, first let me say I've been searching and searching for an aquarium light that simulates a 24 hour diurnal cycle with smooth up and down transitions. I had modern US LED lights, Fluval and Micmol. All beautiful light, and with each new light I thought I finally had one that did what I wanted. Well, I chose Micmol because it actually allowed me to adjust the length of the ramp up and down the way I wanted. That was great! But I still felt that no matter how hard I tried, the ramp still wasn't
