All in all a great lighting system for your planted aquarium, the only criticism is that the remote control feels a bit cheap.

This thing is great for my plants and great when I'm out of town. It takes a little practice to program it the way you want, but it's not that hard. Just don't throw away the instructions when you want to set it up. It looks great on my 20 gallons and my plants are thriving really well.

Light works well and looks good. My biggest issue with the product is that the remote control is a bit clunky and sometimes unresponsive. You may have to press the button more than once for it to work. In terms of shipping, the light I received was clearly a return and the box was taped in several places. Really like this light. It's not perfect, but it's the best LED system I've seen, hence 5* for the product. The programmability isn't exactly flexible, but it's nice. Amazing light, top quality. My plants are well bred, grow well and grow fast. The light spectrum is amazing. I installed it with the default 24/7 setting and it doesn't produce algae. I haven't tried custom settings. It creates a really nice atmosphere and simulates sunrise/sunset and different times of the day. It makes your aquarium look brighter inside and out. If you are looking for aquarium lights for your planted freshwater aquarium, I assume you have done some basic research and have a reasonable understanding of what you are looking for. This is my second Finnex 24/7 light - unfortunately my previous model's remote sensor got stuck in the water in the tank and no longer works - and I bought it as a replacement.
