low price, average build quality and performance

I have a Mr. Aqua. It's 36 inches long but I have a sliding lid so I need a light that's off the lid. The clip-on light seemed like the way to go. This glows brightly at about half a tank. It's about what you expect I guess. I was surprised how cheap it looks, looks and works. The flexible part won't stay where I put it. The plastic screw that holds the clamp was also very difficult to screw in (no, it doesn't have a cross thread). It's better than the strips I bought here. I installed them…

    Amazing little light

For the price this is an AMAZING little flashlight, I got it on a planted fluval, spec. III. Attaching it to the tank itself was a mistake, but I used velcro to attach the base to the wall and skylight as it has a flexible neck that curves over the top of the tank. Cover over the LEDs. It's easy to clean with a damp paper towel, but be careful not to get anything on it. I took some aquarium safe Silicone 1 with no mold inhibitors etc. Just pure silicone 1 and sealed with plastic tape over the…

Probably a good flashlight for a smaller aquarium than the Spec III

I bought this light after researching a few lights for my Fluval Spec III. It's probably a good light for a shorter tank than the Spec iii, but with my Fluval it produces little more output than the stock light I was looking to replace. I saw a review where a 12" light gives par 17, which if you know is still in the 'very low' light output category. I do not recommend this light for those looking for a medium or high light. Lighting for the Fluval Spec Series or for a plantscape that requires…

    Impressive little light

I bought this clip light and separate filter to replace the light and filter combo that came with my 4 gallon EHEIM Aquastyle Nano aquarium which stopped working in early April worked. I have Anubias nana and Cryptocoryne wendtii red growing in it which work great with the standard lighting that comes with the tank. For a year I've kept an aquarium with no fish, just a few neriti snails that refuse to die. I'm waiting for them to destroy the aquarium and put an end to my fish farming. I left it

Works well, casts some diffracted shadows

It's definitely a different hue than the 6000k light. The 6000k light seems to contain more greens and yellows than this light. I suspect it's the red and blue LEDs. Speaking of LEDs, since there are about a dozen of them, you'll see pretty harsh, harsh shadows on everything in your aquarium with this light, especially compared to a fluorescent light. An object has multiple shadows. Okay, so maybe they're not super sharp, but they're not smooth either. Whether you like it or not depends on your
