I replaced the passenger side mirror on my 2013 Tacoma PreRunner. This product comes with the mirror and backplate already assembled, so there is no need to glue the mirror to the backplate. It is very important not to damage the back plate, otherwise you will not be able to attach the mirror. The back plate on the mirror snaps directly into place (but requires some force). The assembly instruction video on the Revain product page was also very helpful.

It didn't fit my 2012 Highlander perfectly but I got it to work. First, the base plate doesn't snap into place because I think it's originally for this one, so the snaps on the attachments don't line up. So I had to remove the glass from the substrate (it comes with the kit) and put it in the old one. The glass itself is not optimal either, a few corners have little free space.
