    Disappointed they didn't fit me as I really liked the look. The length was ok, the width was ok. The depth felt snug and was pushed to the top of the foot for a secure fit. If you have normal feet, you might have better luck. Felt good and sturdy for cycling and takes spikes. I didn't try them on the bike because I knew I was going to send them back and want to return them unused.     This is my first pair of shoes without clips and I have to say I love them. The upper was quite stiff to begin with, but after wearing it for about 30km the upper softened up nicely. I felt that the upper was able to repel a small amount of water, and with the help of a removable insole, the shoe was able to dry well after sitting in a well-ventilated area.     Good shoes, comfortable fit. The inner padding is smaller than my previous Shimanos. This gives a better feel but takes some time to get used to. I love the ripstop upper, which feels more understated and less plasticky than other shoes. An asymmetrical tongue keeps the laces off the top of the foot where they can create pressure points.     For a cycling shoe I expected the toe box to be larger as you will feel swollen while riding. The shoes look great but I put on one shoe and found it was too tight.

    Be careful with the size

    I bought this because of the brand, style/look and intention of using it for walking/hiking while cycling. They are very stylish and look more like a cross training shoe than your typical chunky mountain bike shoe. They are very light and fit perfectly so are very comfortable (I wear a US size 10 1/2 and need a good sock size) and they work great.
