My petite 4 year old granddaughter (37 1/2 inches tall and 31 pounds) loves this hat. She is x the size of my hand down. I saw that they are bigger and chose the color. excited about the style as it protects her neck from the sun. She also likes to wear it.

The best thing is that my kids wear this hat almost every day in the summer. They don't complain about it or try to take it off. Very light and comfortable. An absolute must for preschoolers.

There is a plastic version of this hat with a plastic mount in the center behind the head. This cotton hat doesn't have it, so when my child falls asleep, his head will lie comfortably without the plastic element.

I am so disappointed! I've been buying Flap Happy hats for my daughter since she was a baby and we really enjoyed Flap Happy's commitment to staying in the US. Although the description says Made in the USA, we received our hat today and it says Made in China on it. We will no longer be ordering Flap Happy Caps. :(

I would give this hat 5 stars if it didn't shrink. I love washing my baby hats as this cotton gets dirty and one day I forgot it was in the wash and put it in the dryer. He winced considerably. Overall it fits well to the point that it became too small to put on my son's head. Take a size larger than you normally order and don't put it in the dryer (hanging is fine) and it's a great hat.

I don't like the design or idea of flapper hats in general but I understand the purpose and this product is very well made, fits perfectly, even cute actually. My daughter doesn't mind wearing it at all and it's very protective so very happy!

The 6 year old hat barely fits my little 2 year old, it doesn't fit my 5 year old. The neck cap is approximately 3 inches long and the front flap is approximately 2 inches long. Had to return the 3 year old hat as it didn't fit my 2 year old. A 6 year old hat is small even for my 2 year old. Ordinary people! These hats are too small and too short in length which is a good idea but I've seen better.

The largest and most protective children's hat! I've had one all the time since my son was a kid. I'm so glad I found him in a larger size now that he's 10 years old. It protects his face and neck FULLY from the sun (the safari hat's other curved flaps let the sun into the lower part of his face). Flap Happy products have always been our friends.

The hat is adorable and perfect. but I ordered based on a size chart that said a child who wears 2T gets a small hat. The hat has arrived and fits my 6 month old daughter just right. For my 23 month old baby it doesn't even come close! Great hat came the wrong size. I just ordered it for my daughter in XL.

The best cap for LO. First I had a small one, then we outgrew it and I got a little bigger. We still use it. So wear from 6 months to 12 and then from another size to 18 and onwards.
