🔒 Fleck 2310 Safety Shut-Off Valve for Brine Tank - Part# 60014, 3/8", Black Review

This was a replacement for my existing Fleck/Pentair brine tank. The old one was leaking, which eventually caused the brine tank to overflow. That helped!

Works well the mounting point was an inch lower than the original which was 28 years old but a new 3/8 hole in the well pipe and all is good. FYI if you mess around with the brine supply you may need to adjust the length of the downcomer and the height of the float but worst case scenario it's increased salt consumption, it's not the valve's fault just a necessary adjustment.

I bought this to limit the use of salt. Even though I set the salt at 6 pounds, the water level in the brine tank was higher than 3 or 4 gallons. I added this with my air check valve stem for intake and a 3/8" HDPE hose I bought from HD for $1.67 and added a 2" styrofoam float to the 3/8" hose set add about 3 gallons. Salt, great addition.
