The balancing is terrible

The fan looks good and draws a lot of air, but it's so badly balanced that the whole machine vibrates when it's turned on. It does its job but for the money and hype it should be better balanced!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • So far so good

Big fan and great seller

I installed this on my 1978 Ford pickup. I needed this badly because I had less than 3 inches of clearance. I also gave 5 stars because the seller went out of their way to expedite shipping.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Available in black only

Great fan. Quieter than before!

Quieter than others but still noisy. The only criticism is that the mounting plugs were in different places than on the previous fan. (Other 16" fans we've had in the past have the usual spacing). Not a problem on a fresh install, but can be a headache when replacing a different brand of electric fan.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • not reliable

WHY AM I ASKED TO RATE WARMTH AND STRETCH? DEAR GOD PROTECT US!

I have this thing on a 5.8L SBC, Vortech heads, softcam. TH350, Jeep 4:10 gear. It's a warmed-up torque monster. Long story short, the Chinese eBay fan didn't do the job, but this thing did. Sounds like a GD helicopter but it's awesome, helicopters are cool. Now my engine too.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No power

I think lemon.

Installed on my '66 Mustang with a stock '70's 302 engine. When it ran, it ran well—not overwhelming, but enough to keep the engine under 195. Although the marketing says it's significantly quieter than most electric fans, I still think its high-frequency hum is loud. The engine case looked rough (blistering) after a few months. The car has never seen rain and is in a garage, so the damage is self-inflicted. Still works but ugly (see photo). I go back and I go back to a belt driven fan and a…

Not very good yet :(

I haven't installed the fan yet, I just turned on the machine and connected it to plus and minus. Since my truck is on, I used the same anemometer to test the 16" ebay fan i have on the cooler and am getting a 1500. i hope i am doing something wrong. this is for a 238 fan puller i made red on red and black on black price for false advertising are my tests for now. I will test them more this weekend and update my review. I have high hopes as this is a reputable company and I really hope this fan

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Upgrade availability

No more cheap fans from China.

I bought cheap ($35-65) cheap fans from China for my 8.1 liter Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 that I converted into two 16" fans many years ago. These fans say they pull 3,000 cubic feet per minute, but few have done so. They serve about two years at best and fail much sooner in most cases. Because they don't pull the air they're advertised as, I've consistently encountered overheating issues that the Big Block Chevy has while running the AC in the Dallas, Texas summer heat. As if that wasn't enough,

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Volume
