I love the sound of the Flowmaster! If you drive on the Autobahn, take the Super 50. The 40 series is too loud on the Autobahn.

My favorite Flowmaster muffler. I have used it on several vehicles and I am very satisfied with the sound. Enough sound, but NO hum in the car.

I chose this to reassure my F150 after six years of working with double glazing. Great sound at idle and still good under load, but much more tolerable at 80 on the freeway.

After doing some research I settled on the Flowmaster Super 50 for my Chevy Avalanche 05 5.3 V8. Nice deep rumble and almost silent (in the cockpit) at cruising speed. A small drone can be seen in the cockpit, but it helps drop the pipes from behind. My third purchase of the Flowmaster. 40 series makes too much noise in the cabin. Pleasant rumble at idle and bark when accelerating.

I didn't like this muffler, it was too loud in the cab. Whenever it went into overdrive, you couldn't take it with your ears, I had to turn it off. I bought one of these mufflers about 10 years ago and it has worked great. Makes the gentle but rumbling sound of my truck engine. I think the original muffler will still be fine except for the separation between the exhaust section and the tailpipes.
