Replace every 3 years

Great value for money sound for my 2011 F-150 5.0. Mine lasted 3 years before the exhaust pipe bracket rusted away from the muffler resulting in a good exhaust leak. These mufflers don't last long compared to the stock exhaust. I will be using the full Roush system now and hope to live with it for 3+ years.

Pros
  • Great value
Cons
  • Reliability

Sounds good! for exhaust and emissions

Mounted on 12' F150 5.0. Very happy with this silencer! Installed Midas (hour and a half). The installer moved the muffler about 2 inches from the original's location and relocated the exhaust pipe forward of the muffler toward the crampons to reduce noise inside the truck. I had a Mustang 07 GT prior to this truck and honestly this muffler made the exhaust sound better and louder than my stock Mustang exhaust.

Pros
  • Not fit for purpose only
Cons
  • Operating speed

Sounds surprisingly good on a 3.5 EcoBoost

Welded and fitted to my 2014 F150 FX4 Supercrew 3.5L EcoBoost at an old factory site. Left the resonator on and added an extension gasket to the factory exhaust so it doesn't sound like a v6 driver but sits somewhere between a v6 performance import car and a v8 project to have a love-hate relationship with. You know, the ones that send you to the kennel because you spend more time there than with your wife and your car parts.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Sounds amazing: exhaust and emissions

Bought for my 2010 F-150 and I have to say it sounds good! Pleasant hum when starting and accelerating, but fairly quiet during warm-up and idling.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Anything I can add

Sounds fantastic on my 2013 F-150 5.0L

This muffler was never installed on my 2013 F150 5.0L. Sounds AMAZING! They removed the resonator in my workshop. I was concerned about the rumble at highway speeds, but turns out it's not that bad. I am very happy with this damper!

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Almost never

Welded and fitted to my 2014 F150 FX4 Supercrew 3.5L EcoBoost at the old factory location. Left the resonator on and added an extension gasket to the factory exhaust so it doesn't sound like a v6 driver but sits somewhere between a high performance v6 import and a v8 project to have a love-hate relationship with. You know, the ones that send you to the kennel because you spend more time there than with your wife and your car parts.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Too long to wait
