At first I was disappointed, the cartridge stopped working after about a week. I've tried experimenting with this and found that turning the cartridge all the way upside down sometimes prevents water from entering the cartridge ports. The cartridge screwed in and I tried not to screw it all the way in and it worked again. You don't have to run it hard, but it seems to allow water to get back into the cartridge ports. I bought these for 3 toilets in our new house and found I had to install them opposite the end of the tank due to the shape of the back of the toilet tanks where the inlet valve and the suction pipe was not long enough. This product works very well and largely corresponds to the description. It can literally be installed in about a minute unless you are having trouble removing your existing hose to attach this. Due to the fact that the rim/lid of some toilet bowls mates, the lid may not fit as it did before installation. Neither affects the product itself. For some reason the blue cleaning system is currently a bit cheaper than the bleach version despite being the exact same device. I've used the bleach system in another house in the past with blue and bleach sticks, as you can use bleach sticks in this "blue" version. Blue cleaning pills don't work as well as bleach pills in my opinion, but being able to swap the blue pill for a chlorine pill when they run out made me go with the blue system mainly because of the current lower price.
