Excellent digital multimeter, very accurate, full of features, great tool!

The only point of criticism - forms on the disk. The book should be published in paperback considering the price. But the forms can be printed out and turned into a booklet if you don't want to read from a computer.

Pros
  • probationary period for one year
Cons
  • boring packaging

but a man is a tall meter. I use mine all the time in .

Big. It's very big, but damn it's a great gauge. I use mine at work all the time, even take a few long rides with Eneloops and haven't had to change batteries yet. More than two months in AC and DC on screen simultaneously. NICE.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Appearance

Another top Fluke product

'289 is a true RMS voltmeter, meaning it doesn't attempt to report a peak reading as a quality voltage. Another thing is an infrared data box that the user can connect to a PC (with the right FVF Forms software, of course). Although I have several Fluke test tools, I have this one at home, nice and practical. Be careful with the size you choose, because the fuse costs thirty-one dollars!

Pros
  • Real-time clock for automatic time-stamping of stored readings
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Best in class tester

I bought this meter for one reason, 0.001 ohm resistance resolution. Turns out I didn't need this feature for what I was using it for, but I really appreciated the ability to log data. It is easy to use and the Excel reports generated are very useful. I've seen people use nameless brand counters and get very frustrated. I intervene with my trusty fluke and peace returns. The well thought-out menu system and the display provide a lot of useful information. Min/Max mode is excellent. I use this…

  • Large 50k display, 1/4 VGA with white backlight

I bought myself a Christmas present,

I took the rest of my Christmas gifts and bought this one. I wanted a benchtop multimeter, but there wasn't much of a difference between it and a benchtop meter. It performs all voltage logging and performs all the functions of an inexpensive benchtop meter. The display is BIG. This makes it easy to get it in place and quickly see what it's doing. I also have a V87 and it's great, but it only has the basic functions that a multimeter should have and nothing fancy. It's accurate and it works…

Pros
  • . TrendCapture graphically displays the recorded data sessions to quickly determine if anomalies have occurred.
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I'll spare you the usual, well-deserved praise from Fluke. This set is final. It works very well as a data logger, and of course as a DMM with all the bells and whistles. Also, I was just going through all the bells and whistles that came with it and noticed that it has what looks suspiciously like a TPAK hangar kit that sells for about $40 including a magnetic hangar which I attached was very interested. You can buy 289. and have a top quality Fluke DMM with excellent recording capabilities…

Pros
  • . Unique logging and plotting capabilities mean you no longer need to download logged readings to a PC to identify a trend
Cons
  • A Few Little Things
