Detects dial tone and polarity, places and receives calls, indicates line voltage and current, and has a one-way amplified speaker for hands-free listening during testing of telephone lines. Built-in tone generator for wire identification. Caller-ID and Call Waiting Caller-ID. Monitors lines without disrupting service, remaining on hook if data is detected, and stores up to ten 23-digit numbers which can be speed-dialed via the keypad. Keypad has standard dialing keys and function keys, plus a large LCD for viewing test status.

This will discharge the battery. All in all it's a great addition to my tools

It has more features than I expected. Digit capture works well. Caller ID works fine. every time you connect. If you are using the included case, make sure the switch does not move when you insert it. This will discharge the battery. Overall, this is a great addition to my tools.

a little disappointed

This is indeed a product I'm a little disappointed with. As an owner of other Fluke products, mainly multimeters and the like, I was surprised by the quality of the TS25D, although it works as advertised and has some nice features, it just doesn't feel like typical Fluke quality. For example, when moving the mode switch, the speaker crackles, which to me indicates that a cheap switch was used (and it really is) isn't a big deal, but I wonder if there's still some savings there. I bought this to do a quick diagnostic on the phone systems I install in retail stores so I don't have to unplug every time I would like to test. So far, so good.
