Description of πŸ”΅ Fluker's Reptile Incandescent Daylight Bulb for Pet Habitat - Blue

Incandescent daylight bulb for basking animals. Provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are exothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Available in 100-watt bulb and blue color.

Worth the money: reptiles and amphibians

My bearded man and leopard gecko love the light! Both tanks are now at the right temperature and are as happy and active as ever.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Beware of Stock Revain Bulbs

Blown out after 3 days. I bought through Revain stock - I believe it was used, repackaged and resold. I'm trying a new bulb, hope it lasts longer.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

Good lamp so far - heat lamps

I got a great price on this so I couldn't refuse an offer. I usually use Exo-Terra or Zilla bulbs for my frogs. It's only been 2 days so far but the heat is right and it seems like a good bulb.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Not for me with reptiles and amphibians

Light went out after 1 week. This is the second Flukers lamp that doesn't last long. Yes, the lightbulb was changed with latex gloves to avoid leaving any oil on the lightbulb. In my setup, this bulb only works for 7 hours on the timer. There's no reason it should have exploded in a week.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
