I bought a 9 gallon tank for my Rooster Fish and it fits him perfectly. I hate the idea of fisherman roaches living their lives in half gallon cups or tanks when they need 5 to 10 gallons, or 10 to 20 gallons if you want to keep a female sorority. These are fish that live almost 5 years and I want to make sure all five years is the best they can have and this aquarium absolutely will! Excellent nano aquarium for plants. I had to place a pre-filter sponge on one of the water outlets and lean the other against the glass to calm the movement of the water for my betta. They also have plenty of room in the back to add extra filter media if you want and a heater, which I really like.
