🐠 Optimized Fluval Sea PS1 Protein Skimmer for Aquariums Review

I get microbubbles everywhere. I think the skimmer doesn't fit well. I have to keep pulling it out and putting the two halves together. I've had this thing up and running for 4 weeks now and it's a constant problem.

This skimmer is incredibly difficult to set up and never works properly. Just when you think you've set it up, it needs to be set up again. It will also take up most of your day if you have to take it apart to clean it is very difficult to put back together.

Does not work as advertised. Poor instruction, the skimmer only worked effectively for about a day, then filled with water and had to be emptied. Got online after the setup suggestions, tried a few settings, no change. Removed from the tank, money down the drain.

Very disappointed they sent me a replacement as the first order arrived a bit with a broken air valve and then stopped working after the first night and electrified my aquarium killing a few from my fish. A replacement arrives, follow the instructions again and wake up in the morning to an electrified aquarium and a non-working skimmer. Not sure why but very disappointed

The thing is total crap I've been using this thing for 2 months I know they need to break in and I wanted to give it more time. Problem 1: If your tank has a lip at the top, it won't go there. Problem 2, the seams are loose and the top leaks like crazy. Problem 3 An abundance of microbubbles is making your aquarium lousy, you can adjust it, put filter socks on, clean it, don't clean it, it doesn't matter. I gave a great review when I bought it, but now, after about a year, I'm dropping my review. Call me crazy but I think the skimmer should last more than a year. Those were the only problems. It glides well when it seems to work, but often fails. The air hose is constantly clogged. A few months after I bought it, it fell apart in two and I had to use zip ties to hold it together.
