This is advertised as 1/2 inch thick, 5/16 inch at best - what? That means? It's best to have bushings or washers handy, otherwise your nut, fully tightened, won't be able to secure the steel wheel between the plates. My wheel doesn't even spin because it was so loose. I assume it will fit safely in my 6" WEN 4276 2.1A Benchtop Sander with Flexible Work Light as it is even offered with the sander purchase. Must include bushings or clearly state actual wheel thickness.

BE CAREFUL IF YOU BUY THIS WITH A 6" WEN BENCH GRINDER - you will definitely need additional sets of flanges, washers or something like a middle spoke wheel! You may also need a 5/8" to 1/2" mandrel adapter if you are unfortunate enough to have the plastic adapter that SHOULD INCLUDED fall out of the box. My grinder uses a 1/2" axle so I had to use a plastic ring to mount it (otherwise the mandrel size is 5/8". ) . The shim was too thin (the grinding wheel I removed was 1/2" thick, that's 5/16" at best, maybe? The shim is in place.
