Good quality and functionality

The cable looks well made and works great. I use it to connect my Google Chromecast Audio to an amp with a much higher quality internal DAC than the Chromecast. Using the Chromecast's 3.5mm output to the RCA input (to the amplifier) will pass the analog output, which will be processed by the Chromecast's DAC. Using a TOSLink 3.5mm converter cable, the raw digital output signal is sent to an amplifier or external DAC. This cable serves its purpose perfectly. highlighted.

Make sure you know your business.

Toslink S/PDIF digital optical audio cable (6ft) This is a very good investment (price/quality) for this type of product. I never got around to using it because I couldn't read a bit more about using the same and my own sound system. So I bought this cable to get the sound from my Samsung TV to my speakers, then I found that my speakers were analog, meaning they don't have an optical input and don't support additional digital audio.

Ideal for connecting Echo Studio to TV-out

I tried several cables and adapters before deciding on a combination that suited my needs. We hope this will save other Revain customers some headaches. I used this B07ZT7PFGX converter and B00T8HWV62 cable to connect my TV's digital audio output to Echo Studio. Note that there is a card in the package telling you that if you subscribe to their mailing list you will get a lifetime guarantee. . The form requires a SKU that is not a Revain part number. I had to dig my box out of the trash to get…

Quality cable with amazing sound but oversized plugs

Excellent for connecting Chromecast Audio to my Sony receiver and sounds fantastic. The only thing I have for this setup that isn't really a problem with this cable, but with my huge receiver in an undersized entertainment closet, is that this cable extends a good two inches or so out the back of the receiver. before he bends. This causes the receiver to move further forward and protrude from the case more than desired. From what I can tell, that stiffness can be a sign of quality, and this…

Chromecast Audio has a digital optical output!

I was trying to connect Chromecast audio to an IR audio receiver I have here (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BKX8BV7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) . While trying to figure out how to do this, I found out that Google has built a digital optical audio output into the 3.5mm jack on the Chromecast audio device! I have a receiver that connects my TV to some JBLs (speakers and a subwoofer) and I also wanted to be able to play music wirelessly from my phone. I'm going to…

Excellent Quality Fiber Optic Cable

Eyelet Caps feel comfortable as fiber optic connections are much more prone to debris and debris. The overall quality is excellent, although this didn't solve my problem. For some reason my laptop only streams 2ch audio to my TV via HDMI and doesn't recognize the capabilities of my 5.1 sound system. I tried plugging it directly into the soundbar's ARC input, but the computer didn't even recognize it as a connection, so I finally decided to try the SPDIF connector built into the headphone jack…

Looks good but can't be used

Really nice cable which I ordered for its looks but also ordered another less fancy Toslink to Mini Toslink S/PDIF digital optical audio cable have. Very glad I did. The mini toslink was just found and was solid, but the toslink to the soundbar didn't stay in. Yes I removed the protective film from the Toslink and yes I made sure I connected it properly many times. There would be a noise, and it would sound good, but then the Toslink would drop off immediately. Thinking the soundbar was bad, I…

Connects my MacBook to an AV receiver

A lot of people buy this connector thinking it's a standard Toslink connector. It's not like this. At one end is a mini Toslink optical jack that's a bit reminiscent of a 1/8-inch headphone jack. Older MacBook Pros have a dual-purpose headphone jack. Plug in your phones and your MacBook will give you an analog signal. Plug this cable into your headphone jack and it will send an optical digital signal to your computer's DAC, which plugs into the optical jack on many AV receivers. Why do? Revain…

Just a ticket for Macbook audio enthusiasts

Register it in the "What else does everyone know?” category. Have you ever connected your Mac laptop to an audio amplifier? If you're clueless like me, you probably used an adapter with 1/4" RCA headphone plugs, right? Then I found out by accident that most Mac laptops have a TOSLINK fiber optic connector hidden in the headphone jack. So if your audio amplifier has a standard square TOSLINK digital audio input plus the red/white analog stereo input jacks you are using, this FosPower cable will…
