It blows well but dies too quickly

This fan came out shaky. Noticeably more powerful than the previously installed acdelco fan. It is already losing performance, but after about 6 months. And at this price, expect a lifespan of at least a year.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Better air movement than OE

Easy installation. My original fan motor failed, barely running at low speed. This one works great, I have better air movement. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the bearing wobbles quietly and annoyingly at high speeds. I'll wait and see if it works, if not I'll send it back.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Perfect replacement - like new.

My old motor had bearings and/or brushes and would sometimes squeak, skip completely and rattle. I installed this - very quick and easy. The fork style was slightly different but still fit with no issues. 3 screws, inlet and outlet. The tools took longer to assemble than to modify. When it was installed about a month - no problems at all. If you have any problems with yours, don't hesitate. I wish I had pulled the trigger sooner.

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Not perfect, but it works.

I bought this for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. The fan case was about 3/8" shorter than my original fan case, which creates a gap, allowing less air to flow through the vents. I understand it's made for different models, but it's possible it's made for many models Otherwise everything fits perfectly At least I have deicer for winter Gave one star because it says it works as well or better than OEM parts and it doesn't.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy to remove and replace installation - short lifespan.

Easy to remove and replace once installed. 2006 Dodge Ram, fan intermittent. If you have a similar problem, tap the fan motor with a hammer. When it starts to work, it needs to be replaced. This fan is noisier than the OEM but to be honest it could just be that it's moving more air. It has been installed for several months and is holding up great. Update June 2017. The expected lifespan of this fan is apparently 20 months. I don't know if others have had the same experience, but I tapped it…

Installed on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Installed on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Easy enough to replace. The only problem I had was that one of the three screws was difficult to reach. I would recommend removing the screw that is most difficult to reach first. (T25 Torx bit) Good price compared to my local auto parts stores. (I paid $50.28 for it on Feb 9, 21). I also swapped out the fan resistor. Very easy to do. The fan seems to work very well but is much louder than the OEM. As far as I know, increased noise is typical for the…

Robust, arrived quickly, still works after the summer.

Arrived quickly and was fully consistent with the old one. I don't think it was that strong? I was replacing my old one when the mice climbed into the vents and threw all their stuff into the blower. Thought I would clean it but for the price it was much nicer to just replace. I'm pretty sure it's not that powerful, but does that tell you how powerful it should be? It worked well and under pressure (had to blow out the residual odor for weeks) with no issues. Not a factor for this review but…

Worked great for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Worked great for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. In my case it was even slightly better because my old motor had the power cord connected to a plug on the body itself, this replacement motor has a 'socket' on the cord that is about 4-6 inches long which makes the power connection from from engine to engine even easier, with more sag. The engine itself was fine-tuned using existing propellers from the old engine. On the Jeep Grand Cherokee 02 it was pretty easy, just under the passenger side…

Great fan runs quietly and smoothly

This fan is perfect for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. When I started my truck between short drives, the old fan would intermittently and take a few minutes to spin. I no longer have a problem. I read in some reviews that the fan is much louder than the old one. I can say that the fan is very quiet. The louder noise appears to be coming from increased airflow from the vents. I almost always ran the old fan at maximum settings, now I use the setting one click away from the highest. I have the same…
