Opaque plastic filter

I expected the filter to be transparent plastic so I can look inside. It's milky plastic. You can see if there is fuel in it, but you cannot see if it is dirty.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I really don't like anything, everything is fine

Great fuel filter product

It works and prevents potentially harmful particles from entering your engine. Should be a scheduled replacement on older vehicles that may have rust and deposits in the gas tank. Also appreciate that they included some fuel lines in this kit as those are good to replace too.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I am writing back

Works great with spares

I needed a 3/8 inlet/outlet filter for a portable fuel pump. This works great with the blue 120 gph Holley pump I use. It's nice to see if there is sediment inside and know when to change it. Here I am buying two more to make a second fuel lift pump.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Volume

So far it's working fine! for filter

Just installed this filter with new fuel pump installed on my CJ7 Jeep. while it works fine. Will update if problems arise in the future, but I LOVE the idea that I can see the fuel as it goes through the filter and lets me know the fuel pump is working. The price can also only rejoice!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Compatibility

Not quite as shown, but still ok

Although the photo shows a transparent casing around the filter element, the actual elements supplied are made of milky plastic (nylon?), which makes it difficult to see the loading on the filter element. the filter element itself. On the other hand, the filter element is longer and more wrinkled than shown in the photo, which benefits a longer service life.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Useless features

Plastic can becomes pliable and soft

Filters well but in a hot engine compartment the intake pipe becomes soft and the housing on the pipe becomes pliable and sags. Not what you want to see with FUEL in it. Repeated cycling can cause breakage, or any stress on the part can separate the barb from the body. Definitely not worth the risk for €6. And no, I didn't install it next to the components of the exhaust system. Just the standard frame starting position next to the pump for my STOCK g-body skeleton.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good in-line paper filters

I managed to partially melt one of these with one of my fuel additives (I'm pretty sure) but they do the job they're expected to do. I ended up with a very fine white sludge (zinc?) in the float cups for the carburetor that is well under 40 microns which stops this filter due to a recent tank treatment, but that wasn't this filter's fault. I have a second one on my bike at the moment and it seems to be doing a great job of keeping unwanted stuff out of my freshly restored carbs. Thanks very…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No instructions

Not what is shown in the photo - complete rubbish!

Yes it says FRAM G3 but it's not the clear filter shown in the photo. I have used the G3 for years with great success and it has always had a clear filter so it was easy to see inside. This filter is cloudy and slightly larger. I wasn't impressed. UPDATED 7/5/2020: Today I tried to start my scout for the first time since installing it. Luckily I had the hood open. As soon as I started the engine, the fuel started squirting my legs in the air. I turned off the engine and looked at the filter…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here
