It is see-through even with the shorter non-slip layer attached. It looks like an overlay and feels very thin. In the pictures it was exactly the look I wanted, but in reality it looks like a $40 Zara skirt that costs twice as much. She is also very tall. I ordered a size 12 even though my waist is 2-3 inches bigger than the size chart says and it fits perfectly.
