Beautiful brush example

If you have a heavy door that needs to open on uneven floors, as is often the case in older buildings, this is a good choice. The height and durability of the brush means it sticks to the sill fairly well while continuing to move across changing floor surfaces. You will likely need a hacksaw to cut it to length.

Solving my problems with sweeping rubber doors.

That was the answer to our problems. The wooden decking for our front porch has been worn down by our rubber door brush. It squeaked and stretched every time we opened the door. This sweep was easy to install and has been error free so far. I would recommend picking up the strip and drilling the outer holes, then attaching them and drilling the rest. I rotated it so it was as close to the door as possible and when I fixed it the holes didn't line up. I used a 3/32 bit for the holes. Good value…

Purchase with regret

The biggest problem with this product is that the nylon bristles fold/twist out of shape very easily. It's designed so you can slide the bristles out of the rest of the frame. I assume you can cut them separately from the frame, which I did as I had to trim it down to 34 inches. The big problem for me was that when trying to put it back all the bristles were wrinkled. and distorted no matter how careful I tried to be. It's an eyesore, pretty much useless now and needs to be replaced. Still gets

Stripping enough to make dozens of band saw brushes

Since the 1 inch band saw brushes are $15 each and look like a cut off piece of the same door brush, I ordered them instead and made the top and bottom band saw brushes. cleans for 1/3 the price Medium bristles and thick bristles get the job done with a little more style and a glued-on toothbrush Tip - If you want to make small strokes, don't remove the bristles (others say they can't put the brush back in) . I cut the end off with metal snips and pressed firmly, and pliers were all I needed to

Stretch? Other than that, it's great!

I can't tell you how to rate the stretch feature of this door brush. It's a 3 foot piece of aluminum with stripping bristles - nothing stretches! It might need a second person to fix it; However, mark the screw holes, the height of the bristles so they don't get stuck in the door skin, and cut the piece to width and screw into place. There is little wiggle room to raise or lower the part if needed - precise placement is not essential. Aluminum is strong enough that you'll need something to…

Enough to make dozens of band saw brushes

Since the 1 inch band saw brushes are $15, the bottom band saw brush is 1/3 the price. The bristles are medium-hard and thick, and with a bit more style and a toothbrush glued on, they'll suffice. Don't remove the bristles (others say they can't put the brush back in). . That leaves 33 inches or enough stripping material to make another 22 bandsaw strippings, which should be enough for a century of bandsaw use or a carpenter's contract.

  • Thick aluminum band and high quality brush

Works as intended!

I mean what can I say, it works, looks relatively solid and cheap! Our door doesn't open perfectly at floor level, so the solid door gap we had went about 1/4 inch against the side of the hinges every time we opened the door, and then when you closed the door it stayed doing this 1/. The 4-inch gap just isn't great for power efficiency and/or small bugs. This brush evens out the 1/4 inch gap I screwed in so it doesn't lift when it opens and when the door opens the bristles move out of the way…
