Went up easy and looks good

Who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea to put a 3'x3' window directly over a tub and facing a glass shower? Maybe it was the people who make this because it was basically made for it. Easy to get properly fitted (we used a razor blade and straight edge to cut - there are tools for it as well) and went up great after thoroughly cleaning the window and applying the cling spray. Looks good from inside and out. We have privacy without losing sunlight.

Pros
  • ‎Gila
Cons
  • May not be easily removable without damaging the window

Looks really nice: my feedback

Well we ordered this and they sent the wrong item. So the whole ordeal took another week for the right one to arrive. That all being said we are pleased so far. Hubs installed it today on the window on our back exterior door and it looks great. It lets light in and yet no one can see inside our house if they got into our back yard. It was a big help to give our back door a facelift. We repainted, put on new hardware and put this film on the window and it cost a lot less than replacing the door.

Pros
  • NO ADHESIVE: No glue-static cling technology adheres firmly to surface but is easy to remove & reuse
Cons
  • May not be suitable for households with allergies

Great Idea: Too Bad Gila Decorative Film Is Highly Toxic

Fantastic Idea: applied with ease; used the Gila instructions and application kit. Tried to find out what the decorative film is made from, and discovered it’s PHALATES/PVC/Plastics. Not the good kind. PHALATES are a highly toxic substance and I just applied it to my 185* window view. I had to research the Gila product; the chemical substance was hidden. Not on the packaging. Naturally, I tore it all down and am returning the product. Disclaimer: there are none, this product is toxic, and Gila…

Easy Easy Easy! best in my review

I've used the Gila adhesive film on my garage windows and was impressed by how easy it was to use. So when it came time to put some film on my door sidelights, I turned to Gila again. But this time I used the cling product.Don't be afraid to try this yourself. It's super easy. I do recommend going to the Gila website and reviewing their 'how-to' videos. I didn't and made a few mistakes along the way, but nothing that caused major issues. Also, I purchased the Gila application kit, which comes…

Pros
  • Purchase spray solution and tools!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of glass

Good looking product, easy install

This is the second type of window cover I've used and I found this pretty easy to install. The previous type I used was adhesive-back, and it looked awful and was impossible to install as it would stick to itself. This, on the other hand, is not adhesive back and sticks to windows kind of like some of the cell phone screen protectors stick to the cell phone. Just make sure to buy their spray and to saturate both the window and the window film, which makes it easy to adjust while the liquid…

Pros
  • I am using this film to cover my glass cabinet doors in the kitchen. Looks great.
Cons
  • The solution needed to adhere the product to the window is not included.

This is the worst stuff I could ever have bought

This is the worst stuff I could ever have bought. 1. The directions are halfway through the roll. 2. The stuff does not stick well. It is peeling off my windows as we speak and I have followed all the directions. 3. It looks terrible. Not any better than sticking waxed paper on my windows. 4. If I could figure out how to get my money back, I would. DO NOT BUY

Pros
  • Looks great. Make sure to take your time and get all the bubbles out though.
Cons
  • It is shorter than 78 inches. Useless!!

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It is NOT 78 inches long. It short by 6 inches

Did not measure 78 inches long. Only 72 inches. I had 3 window that are 26 inches long. This would have been plenty but didn't know it was only 72 inches long. That's not what the description says. Also, not sure if its the humidity or what, but one day I see bubbles and the next day there gone. Bubbles come back. Anyone have same issue?

Pros
  • Looks great. Make sure you spray with soap and water and then install it.
Cons
  • They were impossible to use. Threw them in the garbage.

Beautiful and very affordable!

Love the outcome on my island cabinet doors! Easiest thing I did after painting our kitchen cabinets. Was just he perfect finishing touch and so simple to install!I didn't get the installation kit either, just used a little dish soap and water in a spray bottle to spray on product and a shower squeegee that I already had. I'm sure you could use a credit card or even a piece of stiff cardboard. Directions include how to make your own solotion. I'm looking around my home for other glass to…

Pros
  • Can be difficult to install but otherwise beautiful and great quality.
Cons
  • May be difficult to install without air bubbles

follow mounting instructions carefully

Product was used to place over clear glass to give a more lived in look to the premises. Worked out fine, just follow the instructions or watch the manufacturers video.

Pros
  • Stylish and Elegant
Cons
  • May not be suitable for households that require complete darkness

Beautiful and efficient product.

Love this window film as does everyone that sees it. They think it was installed professionally. Super easy to install when following the directions. It also keeps the heat out which was a pleasant surprise.

Pros
  • Beats the granny curtain in had up on my side light. Very easy to install also and looks great!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all climate conditions

Order filled wrong.

I had to return the item as wrong item and size was sent. Product may be very good but order filler was not. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • The affordable price ensures that you can update your windows without breaking the bank
Cons
  • May require additional cleaning beyond regular window maintenance

Directions on the package are very deceptive

The directions on the package show 3 steps. 1) Wet the window with solution. 2) Apply film and spray with solution and squegee. 3) Trim the film. There's MUCH MORE to it than that. There are instructions hidden within the packaging that you won't find until you completely unroll the film. There are about 10 steps and you definitely need two people to complete the install. It's NOT EASY.

Pros
  • ‎Window Film, Instructions
Cons
  • May not provide as much insulation as other materials

Don’t waste your money

I followed the directions, and it looked beautiful, for a couple of hours, before it began peeling off the window. I redid the whole process, again following the directions. Again , it is peeling off the window. I have used products similar to this in the past, and had NO PROBLEMS. It stayed in place perfectly, for many years. This product is junk.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • May not block out all glare

This solved our problem with the side windows at our front door. No one can see through it and it makes the foyer look so good.

  • ‎Window Film
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all decoration styles

Product Defective, choose another brand

Ordered this product and it was poor- GM defective out of the box. Followed installation instructions and addhesbce was poor. It did not hold so I threw it out and now the company replaced product but want the old product back. Well I threw the product out because it was poorly made so no replacement for me- they are forcing me to buy a new one. There are better products on the market. Be careful with the seller as their replacement policy is unfair to the consumer

Pros
  • ‎36.25 x 2.38 x 2 inches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for households with mobility issues

Why did I wait so long!

First, I cut to length and then in half (6” x 65.5” sidelights). Installed each side by myself. Watched the video above first. Then read the included instructions. Cleaned per the video instructions. Then, I used 1/8 tsp baby shampoo in 16oz water in my spray bottle. I used a box cutter to trim off a sliver along the inside of each window and voila! Hubby went outside and you can NOT see in. It’s all a blur. I hated the blinds we had because they did not open/close easily. This product was just

Hard to install - my new review

Very hard to install! I have lots of bubbles. I’ll leave it on for now but will not recommend this product unless you get it installed professionally.

Cons

Template is key - my new review

Was nervous about this but it turned out wonderful, looks like it was always there. The best advice is to cut a template before and make sure it fits your windows. Once u have it cut out the install is easy.

Pros
  • Excellent video on how to install. High quality product that looks good.
Cons
  • May not provide complete privacy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not 78 " as Advertised

This film was only 74.5 inches in length - not 78" which was too short for my window measurements. I would have returned it, but I had already cut it and started my project and couldn't afford to wait for a replacement. I ended up just splicing a short piece of scrap to make it work, but it sure doesn't look the same.

Pros
  • Easy to install and looks great!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for high-traffic areas

In love with our new entryway look!

Absolutely love this and extremely happy with this purchase. Design adds a little class to our front door / entryway. Photos are before, one window completed and fully finished. Easy to install.

Pros
  • Window Stickers & Films
Cons
  • May not be suitable for households with limited storage space
