Type of review

This is one of the secretly advertised products that Revain has wormed its way in as smart products. This is IT steel line, not copper-nickel alloy like you might think reading their adverts. DO NOT buy if you think you are buying good quality copper nickel cord that is easy to use. This is NOT what they advertise.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • There are nuances

Bends like nickel-copper line

Bends like copper-plated high-carbon steel line. I used copper nickel brake line and it's not the same. Normal steel cord is easier to use. I used it and used a hydrolytic flash tool. I had to tighten the nuts to stop the leak. I have worked professionally on cars for over 20 years and have never had to tighten brake lines so tightly that they would not leak. Never again.

Good quality line. good for brake system

If you need to create a custom line this is a great kit to buy. Quality replacement parts. I made 2 lines with it. One for Dodge Ram and one for Chevy Suburban. This copper-nickel wire is slightly flexible and is a thousand times easier to flare than stainless steel wire. The line I did on a Dodge was a Muhize 3/16 mark over a year ago with no problems. One of the suburbs was Muhize 1/4 a few months ago, no problems there either.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Requires socket

Best new brake line!

You'll be amazed at how this copper brake line bends over a standard (rusty steel) or stainless steel line. It is easy to work with, does not rust and is durable. Keep in mind that this is not the kind of soft copper tubing you can buy from Home Depot for your refrigerator's ice maker. It is a much stronger alloy intended for use in brake lines and is more difficult to form/bend than pure copper. But still much easier than steel/stainless steel lines. double flash? It's much easier to make or…

Rust within 24 hours

I don't know what the material is and if the word 'rust' is appropriate for what happened. I bought this tube because I needed a copper tube for heat transfer (non-food grade) for my little hobby project. 24 hours (in air) after unpacking this hose I flushed the line with water and noticed a black residue coming out of the back. I looked closely and saw that black spots had formed on the pipe. I couldn't use this without risking damaging my flow pumps so I put it in a heap to throw away. A week

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

crap, use that for nothing!

Like a few others I ordered this back when the description was read to make you think it was copper it now says 'corrosion resistant' or something like that. But make no mistake, it's just scrap steel! The "cover" failed and it got rusty just when it was hanging in my bag on a nail in the garage. Thank god I never made it to the project I bought it for because I'd be really pissed if I did all the work to cut the torch and do all the assembly only to find out how quickly and easily it rusts. If
