🔌 Fulton 20141 7-Way Flat Pin to 5-Flat Converter Review

Works great on my Q7. I just bought a trailer with LED headlights and whatever adapter the trailer seller sold me didn't work - the lights were very dim and flashed all the time. I called my local Audi dealer thinking they had to do something about the car but no - they said it was already fitted with a towing kit and hooked up to a trailer. I went to Amazon, found this thing and bought it. The trailer only has 4 prongs, but it still works.

I bought this and it's about as unreliable as it gets. I bought the same one a few years ago and it stopped working so I figured it was nearing the end of its life so buy a new one. I have this and sometimes it works fine, but more often than not it lets the lights come on (the main reason I bought it) or the turn signals flash really fast. Etrailer has one similar to this one so I can try it but the seller has to send me a new one, this one is BAD.

Of course this plug doesn't say it's LED compatible but for the price I figured I'd give it a try too. I have the same results as others. I have a 2010 GL550 and sometimes I plug it in and have no burned bulb warnings and everything is fine. In other cases, it will give a message even if all the headlights are working properly on both the car and the trailer. Purchased for my 2004 Touareg which has a tow hitch module with lamp detection. Conventional 4/5 aircraft converters did not work for a trailer with LED lights. Brake lights work, but no turn signals or running lights with other adapters. So I ordered this one and it at least made the running lights work, but they were flickering badly. The turn signals also worked, but only when not on the brakes. When braking, the turn signals stopped working. I also got error messages in instrument clusters…
