WARNING: 2 step process to create a picture challenge!

My husband has a cognitive deficit that I didn't know, noticed or read that this phone requires him to take 2 steps to call first, it gives a photo call button at the bottom which you have to press first before you press on the photo of the person he wants to call. I am not sure if he can do 2 steps but we are working on it. It's easy to set up, but the additional image overlays don't stick well to the buttons.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • The price that will bust the piggy bank

Works well, but the sound could be significantly better.

I bought this for an elderly family member who has visual and hearing impairments. Images and one button dialing are great and pretty easy to program. The sound is quite distorted and when loud enough to be heard it really distorts and isn't maxed out, just poor design or cheap parts. It's enough for emergency calls and necessary calls, but you don't want to chat about it for long.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Not the best

Poor quality Confused elderly

I bought this for my elderly mother. I was hoping for something that would be easy for them to use, NO. She was embarrassed by the two RED buttons and one of them is 911. It is also extremely difficult to make a normal call because of the photos on the buttons. As for the audio, there was a constant crackle on the calls. The volume was never consistent, we couldn't hear incoming calls and it was also difficult to hear people on the phone. We tried everything to make it work, but after two weeks

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great for the elderly or people with dementia

Worked great for my grandfather with dementia. In fact, my mom didn't have any pictures handy when she first set up my grandfather's phone, so she just used a label printer and wrote people's names on it. It worked well. As the dementia progresses, he doesn't call anyone but her, but a gentle push of the button allows him to still call her. I've also heard of people setting it up with a picture of family members for a young child. I'm sure it will work very well.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Nothing
