Google Earth GPS out of cell range

Can get real-time GPS in Google Earth. Much better to see the real world, back roads. I needed to boot a disc for my computer, new instant boot tools and go live. Click live and go. So I got a Ram tablet mount and stuck it in the Jeep window. Must use Google Earth and learn how to use it

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Didn't work on my WIN 10 laptop

I even contacted the Garmin Support Center in Kansas City and they couldn't get it to work either. It simply does not recognize the device even after installing the suggested software. Instead, I recommend purchasing the VK-162 G-Mouse USB. I use it in conjunction with the ifly GPS software as a backup GPS device when I fly long trips on my plane. I usually use a Garmin hand held GPS. Sorry Garmin, but I wanted to support you :)

Nautical Navigation in GPS, Finder and Accessories

This GPS unit was designed for use with a laptop and Rose Point navigation charts (also purchased from Revain) while cruising the US East Coast, Bahamas and in bought in the Caribbean. Although we haven't made long trips with this novelty this year, the test drives went very well. We have a Furuno GPS and a few handheld devices, but this GPS is for laptops. We are very satisfied with the current navigation aids.

Pros
  • Many Fit
Cons
  • Some Difficulties

Reliable Product for Sports and Portable GPS Navigators

I bought this GPS receiver to control OpenCPN on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop when the cheaper generic BU-353 with Prolific driver didn't work for me. The Prolific driver requires something like an XPORT serial COM port splitter to avoid problems with disconnecting the USB port. However, XPORT is not available for 64-bit Windows. The Garmin device doesn't seem to have this shortcoming. So far it has worked without the issues I had with the BU-353. I haven't compared the performance but I have to…

  • Absolutely Amazing!

  • Not bad, but...
