Good 1 round golf watch

Good watch with many features. I bought it to use for golf. It tells me the distance to the front, middle and back of the green, hazards and other features to track your stats on the computer. I have poor eyesight, but I can read the clock easily. My only complaint is the battery life. When I first bought the watch I could easily play 36 holes of golf in a day, but I was barely able to play a round of golf before the watch stopped working.

A golfer with a handicap of 10 is good for sports and portable GPS

This works very well. I like that it is small compared to other products with large round dials. I only use it for golf - it works for 18 holes. You can't do 36 holes in one day - the battery doesn't last that long. A larger model may not have these issues. UPDATE: I played it for about 60 rounds - accuracy is excellent and I still enjoyed it - until last week. Eventually the screen began to crack. First one, then the other; caused by wrist torque I think. It started from the top and went down…

What a great choice (so far)

I used to have Garmin and Samsung watches. I needed a new golf GPS as my old one was no longer supported. My last watch was Garmin but no GPS. I chose the X40 as it was the same size as my old Garmin watch. I am very happy with the device. Its accuracy is definitely on par with my old (pocket) GPS, it's very easy to download courses even if you don't download them yourself when you appear on the course. The big surprise for me was how well he scored. Tracks GIR, FH and in which direction they…

The perfect combination of golf and fitness watches.

I had a previous Garmin golf watch, S2 and was very happy with the watch and Garmin technical support. I recently decided to buy a fitness tracker and started searching the internet to see what was available. I almost bought a Fitbit, but then I realized I would have to wear two different devices when playing golf. After much searching, I came across a brand new Garmin X40 and bought it from Revain for $200. I've been wearing them every day for a few weeks now and I'm very satisfied. The golf…

Has many features out of reading range

My mother in law chose it for herself. Luckily she really liked her present :-) a note. It's much more than just reading distances on a golf course. As we got used to it at our home over the holidays, it basically served many of the functions of a Fitbit or even a smartwatch. a funny story - it's connected to her phone so the watch is notified when it rings (good for a golf course if you don't want to miss a call but don't want noise) - well she was upstairs with the watch and her phone was…

Garmin Makes Great GPS Golf Navigators

I've had a Garmin golf watch for 8 years and the strap finally snapped. I even tied it up with bread tape to last through the last tournament I played as I'm not very good with yards in fields I'm not familiar with and have im at least a few times on the Garmin Approach X40 have kept an eye. . Months watching my old watch fall apart. I finally took the plunge and couldn't be happier, although the learning curve was interesting the first time I left the instructions at home (thankfully I already

The new gold standard in GPS golf watches

X40 for three days and bought it to replace both my Fitbit Charge HR watch and Garmin S2 golf watch. So far the X40 has exceeded my high expectations: it's a bit thicker than the Fitbit, but not bad given the tech it has. The strap is comfortable but a bit thin. Hope this lasts long. - GPS works great, scoring is intuitive and the Connect app provides shot-by-shot replay with a view of each hole. - I played a round of golf and only used about 30% of the battery - The screen is easy to see even…

I like using it with the scope

I've had the approach for a few months now and it's pretty much everything I could have hoped for! I don't have to reach for or carry the scope to shoot when I'm walking off a cart, I can just look at my watch and instantly see the distance. It even shows the distance to traps, ponds, streams and bends. I have a GolfNow membership so I play a lot of different courses and rarely play more than once or twice in the same round. That makes the watch really priceless! At a distance they are very…
