Great watch! in Sports & Handheld GPS

I switched from a Garmin 110 to this updated 230 predecessor and I love it! I mainly use it for kilometers and time. It has an automatic pause function and you can also program it to notify you if you are moving too slowly. Text notifications can be read on the screen, and you can also take calls when your phone is near you. I also set up the Garmin app on my phone to sync my info to my Garmin account and it helped with browsing the data. The data can also be displayed on the screen. The…

I bought this watch after *a lot* of research that I wanted to upgrade to Garmin Forerunner. My friends had the 235 and 630. I was immediately obsessed with them but wanted to make a wise choice and not overpay for a watch with extra features that I didn't need or want to use. (I had a Garmin 410 and wanted the smartwatch to work with my Android.) Since I didn't need a touchscreen or wasn't that keen on a heart rate monitor, I went with the 230. Good choice for serious running

UPDATES - I've given up bluetooth and only use USB and Garmin Express. I have GLONASS enabled which is draining the battery so I still have to plug it in. I'm fine without Bluetooth, but if you're expecting notifications and weather on your wrist, the 230 will disappoint. Also, I bought a 1st generation Garmin heart rate monitor and it works perfectly. I don't need constant heart rate monitoring, and the hard strap is $30 cheaper than the soft. Nevertheless 4 star rating. AB There was never any
